THE STORY OF BEST CARPET STEAM CLEANING

1999
Gerald Bongiorno, started his carpet cleaning journey working for, “Steam King”. Over a couple years, he learned everything there was to know about carpet, tile, and upholstery cleaning.
2001
Gerald Bongiorno, with his first son on the way, knew it would benefit the family if he ventured out on his own. Young and ambitious, he believed the bar could be set higher in the carpet cleaning industry with the following formula: prioritizing customer satisfaction and providing only the BEST results.
2002

Gerald Bongiorno, founder of BEST, put together his savings – just enough to buy a single work vehicle and truck mounted machine, to open a one-man carpet cleaning business called, “BEST Carpet Steam Cleaning”
2005
Yellow
Through hard work and sticking to a formula that works, he experienced immediate success and landed himself on the front of Yellow Pages.
2007

Gerald gained yearly repeat customers, which helped grow his clientele through word of mouth - well before smartphones.

2009
After 7 years of doing it all himself, Gerald hires his first worker to help take some of the load, allowing time for expansion.
2010
BEST acquires its first major commercial contract, Panera Bread.
2012
Gerald purchases his second work vehicle and truck mounted machine, to allow for more advertising and job intake.
2013
Panera bread
Through excellent results, BEST built the commercial contract with Panera Bread to service 9 cafe’s, from Rutland, VT to Oneonta, NY.
2015
BEST gains 10 new Panera Bread contracts from Oneonta, NY to Kingston, NY. BEST now services ALL Panera Bread’s in the capital region.
2016

BEST acquires commercial contracts with several Friendly’s restaurants in the capital region.
2017
AB Brand Refresh Logo
BEST acquires commercial contracts with several Applebee’s restaurants in the capital region.
2018
Ninty nine Project
BEST acquires commercial contracts with several Ninety Nine and Chipotle restaurants.
2020

Michael Bongiorno, eventual co-owner of BEST, joins the United States Air Force out of high school, with a selected career in Cyber Security.

Covid-19 hits, and BEST begins a side service dedicated to home sanitation

BEST acquires commercial contracts with several Sunoco and restaurants.
2023
Gerald purchases his third work vehicle and truck mounted machine, growing exponentially and allowing for more job intake.
2024
U.S. Air Force Logo

Geralds son, Michael Bongiorno, completes his 4 ½ year cyber security contract with the United States Air Force. He moves back home to help his father expand the company's digital footprint, through his expertise with computers.
